The approximately 900 residents of Christiania are in shock. On Saturday, shots were fired in Freistadt, an autonomous community in Copenhagen that is also popular with tourists, with its own rules and laws.
Around 7:25 p.m., the first emergency calls to the police in the Danish capital came in: shots were fired in Pusher Street. Several people were hit, including tourists. The police arrive in large numbers. A 30-year-old man succumbed to his injuries.
