The automotive supplier Leoni needs a new boss. CEO Aldo Kamper will leave the company at the end of March to take on a new task at short notice, Leoni announced on Monday evening. “The supervisory board will start talks immediately to arrange the successor.”
The cable specialist Leoni employs around 100,000 people and generated sales of 5.1 billion euros in 2021. Chairman of the Supervisory Board Klaus Rinnerberger said that Kamper took over the office in 2018 in a difficult situation and proved itself as a crisis manager. He very much regrets his departure.
Kamper said: “I would have liked to have completed the restructuring of this promising company as CEO. However, the challenge I face is the consistent continuation of my professional career. I couldn’t say no to that.” He did not say where he is going.
