The León Local Police yesterday arrested a man who on Friday committed a robbery of between 1,000 and 2,000 euros at a bank branch when he was trying to buy medication without a prescription at a pharmacy in the city.
The arrest occurred at 12:15 p.m. in a pharmacy on Calle Ancha when the agents went to the establishment because a person wanted to buy medication that cannot be provided without a prescription. Faced with the refusal of the sale, he became aggressive and even entered the warehouse, where he was when the agents arrived. Once the corresponding proceedings were processed, the man was arrested, who was carrying 440 euros in 100 and 20 bills, reports Ical.
The agents identified the man, who was listed as the perpetrator of a robbery crime at a bank on Quevedo Avenue, where he accessed mid-morning on Friday and snatched several bills from one of the employees who was counting them for an amount between 1,000 and 2,000 euros.
The detainee had also gone to the branch first thing in the morning, so his data was available.
