CSIF has denounced this Thursday the aggression suffered by two assistants in the health center of Beniopa-Gandía (Valencia) and has demanded urgent measures of protection and to prevent these events from reproducing. The trade union center has demanded security surveillance in all the premises, evaluation of psychosocial risks in the workplace and awareness campaigns against aggressions.
As CSIF has detailed in a statement, around 11:00 a user has attacked two administrative assistants of the health center located in the Beniopa neighborhood of Gandía, after insulting them and accessing the closed space in which they were.
«One of these professionals has been grabbed by the neck in an attempt to suffocate her and another has had a computer monitor thrown at her, causing a wound to the back of her head that required suturing.
In addition, he has suffered dizziness and anxiety attacks, “says the union.
According to CSIF, “after making the notice, agents of the National Police Corps have come, who have arrested the aggressor.” CSIF warns that “this is not the first case of aggression suffered by the workers of this health center”, for which they demand that “the integrity of all staff in their professional work” be guaranteed.
The trade union center regrets that there has been another “episode of attacks” without the Ministry of Health “having adopted the necessary measures that the union has been asking for.” CSIF also calls for awareness campaigns that are based on the motto ‘Take care of those who take care of you’. It also requests an assessment of psychosocial risks to prevent these attacks.
