Two Indian American Indian Institute of Technology alumni have been appointed to top positions at French multinational information technology (IT) services and consulting company Capgemini in significant leadership changes, as reported by The American Bazaar.
Anirban Bose, based in New York, has succeeded Jim Bailey as CEO of the Americas Strategic Business Unit, while Kartik Ramakrishnan has taken on the role of CEO of the Financial Services Strategic Business Unit effective November 1.
The CEO of the Capgemini Group, Aiman Ezzat, expressed confidence in these appointments, stating that they will reinforce the company’s growth ambitions and solidify its position as a key business and technology partner for clients. Bose, who has been leading the Financial Services division for the past six years, is praised for his contributions to building and shaping the business globally. Ezzat believes that Bose is well-equipped to drive the company’s growth in the Americas, following the progress made in the region under Bailey’s leadership over the past four years.
Ramakrishnan, who has been overseeing the Banking sector for the last six years, is seen as a natural successor to Bose. Ezzat highlighted Ramakrishnan’s role in ensuring the continued success of the global business.
Bose, a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology of Varasani with a Bachelor of Technology, has a strong background in finance, holding an MBA from the University of Chicago. He has held various leadership positions within Capgemini, including Head of the Banking and Capital Markets Business Unit and Head of the Financial Services Strategic Business Unit.
Ramakrishnan, also an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, brings over 25 years of experience in consulting within the banking and payments industry. He has been instrumental in launching new products and developing innovative solutions for financial services firms across the globe. Additionally, he holds a master’s degree from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
These appointments underscore Capgemini’s commitment to driving growth and innovation in the IT services and consulting sector. As the company continues to expand its presence globally, Bose and Ramakrishnan are poised to lead the way in delivering cutting-edge solutions to clients in the Americas and beyond.
