Tomavistas 2022 successfully moved to Ifema. The Madrid festival had three almost simultaneous stages, more bars, commercial stands and a set of basic services that made the public enjoy the most important thing outdoors: music. Because artists who have revolutionized the national scene passed through there on Thursday: Sen Senra, Rigoberta Bandini, Alizzz, Cariño and Rojuu. The starting signal served to demonstrate that these names are here to stay, with live performances that were acclaimed by almost all of the attendees, most of them very young on this opening day.
On Friday, the turn was for some of the international names that have conquered the scene in recent decades.
Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Slowdive and Kevin Morby preceded Suede, the British alternative rock group led by the famous Brett Anderson. Before that, the attendees were able to delight once again with the overwhelming live performances of La Luz and, how could it be otherwise, Carolina Durante, who playing at home once again left great pogos in the front rows and a cast of songs today turned into hymns
On the last day, the festival managed to overcome a strong storm and restart, not without some complications, the cast of announced artists. The rain precipitated the end of the Camellos concert and made it impossible for the Kings of Convenience, who still went down to the dance floor and gave three songs as a sign of gratitude to the fans who endured the downpour. But Saturday would not end there. The long-awaited live performances by Jungle, Jarvis Cocker with his project JARV IS… and Shame were complemented by bands of the stature of Confidence Man, The Marías, La Plata and Kokoshca. In summary, a broad poster with a multitude of options that passed its particular coming-out with a note.
The appointment, in addition to the three stages (perfectly programmed so that the music did not mix), had green areas, a gastronomic area, rest spaces and several surprises that were not announced, such as the unexpected gig by a group of young people who did not He hesitated to start at the Vibra Mahou stand (the Mahou Cinco Estrellas music platform that generates quality meetings and connections around live shows) while the organizers checked the safety of the stages once the storm had passed.
Although there really was a surprise in capital letters, that was none other than the presence of C.Tangana at the Alizzz concert, when thousands of people chanted the name “Pucho” at the end of the song Ya no vales. The value, precisely, is what this edition of Tomavistas has shown, a festival that, according to what has been experienced, has come to Ifema to stay.
