While the A 553 roars behind me, the dark wooden door swings open in front of me and reveals the world inside. Green palm bushes and bright red flowers grow there. The ground is red like the sand of the Sahara. Carved wooden masks and animal heads hang on the walls. On the other side of the circular room stands a man in a hut with a roof of reeds and mud. “Welcome to Africa,” he says, grinning at me.
