On Thursday, May 26, at 6:15 AM, a 70-year-old fisherman died from a massive heart attack while fishing on Lake Gaubert in Digne-les-Bains. He was saved by firefighters and the Smur (mobile ambulance and resuscitation services) of Digne. The air force of the Gendarmerie airlifted the septuagenarian in serious condition to Aix-en-Provence hospital.

The firefighters from Volx and Forcalquier intervened at 6 a.m. to help a Laye dam fisherman who was injured. The victim, 38 years old, had a broken ankle. Because the injured area was difficult to reach, Dragon 131 flew the victim to Manosque’s hospital.
