The historic center now has a new space for culture. Julio Millan (Mayor of Jaen), the Third Vice President of Provincial Council, Africa Colomo and Jose Manuel Higueras (Councilor for Culture), attended the presentation of ‘Patio Gonzalez Doncel’. This space was set up by Fundacion Santa Capilla de San Andres as well as Clean Brotherhood Concepcion de Nuestra Senora at a site near the temple.
From last year, the space was restored to its original glory by Bernabe Jesus Lopez, Jose Maria Lopez, the quantity surveyor, and David Romero. This corner is now a focal point for revitalization of the old town and will host conferences, presentations, and concerts.
Inocente Cuesta, the governor, highlighted “the effort by all those who have contributed to its recovery” and noted that the Foundation is interested in giving life to this patio which, until recently, was a neglected space.
The event was concluded with a concert of the University of Jaen’s Wind Octet, which performed Mozart pieces under the direction of Daniel Garcia Caro.
