A heavy detonation in Wales destroyed two houses and severely damaged other buildings. Three injured were taken to clinics, the police said on Monday. In the evening, several media reported, citing the police, that a missing person had been found dead.
The cause of the incident in Morriston, a suburb of the city of Swansea, was probably a gas explosion, councilor Rob Stewart tweeted.
The authorities declared an emergency. Drone photos showed severe destruction and debris at a crossroads. Local football club Morriston Town offered to help. Local residents received hot drinks free of charge and could warm up in the club rooms, it said.
