A 63-year-old man was killed by a lifting platform in Brunsbüttel on Tuesday. According to initial findings, the man wanted to repair the lifting platform in a workshop on an agricultural site, the police said on Wednesday. A side part fell over and trapped the man underneath.
He suffered severe chest injuries. Local residents informed the emergency services. The fire department was able to free the man. However, immediate resuscitation was unsuccessful. The man died at the scene of the accident. The media had previously reported.
