A driver lost control of her car when parking out in Bad Bevensen (Uelzen district) and crashed into an apartment of a 91-year-old. The elderly woman was seriously injured in the living room of her retirement home. The 60-year-old driver first drove through a hedge, then through the patio door and finally caught the elderly woman in the armchair, the police said.
A 75-year-old resident was able to jump to the side and was unharmed. The driver was slightly injured – she was trapped in her vehicle.
It was initially unclear why the driver lost control of her car. There was damage of several tens of thousands of euros, the police said.
