At least 11 people have died after a gas leak at an Indian factory. Two boys aged 10 and 13 were among the dead, police said on Sunday. Four other people were taken to hospital after the incident in the city of Ludhiana, Punjab state, that happened this morning. The rescue work continued, the area had been cordoned off.
Which gas leaked where exactly is still being clarified, the local news agency ANI quoted an official as saying. First, the priority would be to get people to safety in the densely populated area.
