For the second consecutive day, the Ciudad Real town of Alcázar de San Juan has woken up with a new work accident. After the death this Friday of a 55-year-old woman after being rammed into a wall by a mechanical bull, this Saturday morning a 33-year-old worker was injured when he was crushed by a cheese molding machine.
According to ABC sources from the Castilla-La Mancha 112 emergency service, the events took place around ten in the morning and the notice was received at 10:02. The accident occurred at the well-known Quesos García Baquero company in the town, located at number 4 Calle Syrah, within the Alces Industrial Estate in the municipality of Alcázar de San Juan.
At the moment, the magnitude of the damage that the worker of this cheese industry may have suffered is unknown, but the 33-year-old man has had to be treated by the National Police and by health professionals on site. Subsequently, he has been transferred by a mobile ICU to the Mancha Centro Hospital in the town, where he is currently being treated for the injuries received.
