This store, which will be located in the Halifax Shopping Centre, will be added to the company’s 16 other locations in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.
Thus, La Maison Simons will be present in all Canadian markets, from one end of the country to the other.
“We have been interested in the Maritimes for quite some time and have chosen Halifax, a city in full growth, which benefits from a significant phenomenon of migration of Canadians and immigrants who wish to live in a dynamic city, while taking advantage of the advantages that provide life near the ocean,” said Bernard Leblanc, President and CEO of La Maison Simons.
The new branch will be located near downtown and will be accessible by public transit. It will thus attract people from all over the Maritimes, believes Mr. Leblanc.
This announcement comes only a few weeks after the opening of a fifth branch in Greater Montreal.
“The recovery of stores is here, we see it every day. Our in-store sales currently represent two-thirds of purchases, proof that customers are back and enjoying the experience in our stores more than ever,” explained Mr. Leblanc.
