A 60-year-old died Friday following a collision between his tractor and a tree on Chemin Cyr, in Saint-Joachim-de-Shefford, in the Eastern Townships. The man suffered from a heart attack and was declared dead at the Granby Hospital.

The man in his sixties was carrying out work on a dirt road. The witnesses met by the police reported that the driver of the tractor had suffered from discomfort before hitting the tree. This hypothesis was confirmed a little later by a doctor.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) has confirmed that an investigation will still be carried out at the scene of the collision.

“Although a doctor has confirmed that the victim suffered a heart attack, investigators will still do their work in the field to ensure that there are no other factors that contributed to the incident. accident,” SQ spokesperson Audrey-Anne Bilodeau told TVA Nouvelles.
