After the deadly knife attack at the Send folk festival in Münster on Saturday evening, the homicide commission identified a 21-year-old suspect. Witnesses led the investigators on the trail of the man who lives in Münster. A judge issued an arrest warrant on Monday evening, and police officers also searched the suspect’s apartment on Monday evening. The 21-year-old was not found. The search for him is now in full swing.

The 21-year-old is Yevgeni A. He is 1.68 meters tall and slim. He has dark blonde, short hair and green-brown eyes. At the time of the crime he was wearing white sneakers, light gray sweatpants and a light gray hoodie. He had pulled the hood over his head.

The wanted Yevgeni A. is said to have stabbed a 31-year-old father on a ride during a dispute on Saturday evening (the star reported). The victim died at the scene of the crime. “The autopsy of the body showed that the 31-year-old received a stab in the heart and died due to blood loss,” said senior public prosecutor Martin Botzenhardt.

The police are also looking for the 24-year-old brother of the suspect. He is said to have attended the folk festival together with Yevgeni A. and to be an important witness. According to initial information from the police, the alleged perpetrator and his victim met by chance on the send. Yevgeni A. is known to the police, among other things, for the allegation of physical harm.

“Our intensive investigations, based on witnesses and a meticulous investigation of the crime scene, brought us to the track of the 21-year-old,” explains Chief Inspector Frank Schneemann, head of the homicide squad. Schneemann continues: “The analysis of the video sequences, in which the perpetrator can also be identified, confirmed our suspicions.”
