Defender Belal Halbouni is leaving the second division soccer team 1. FC Magdeburg for Canada. The 24-year-old is moving to the Vancouver Whitecaps in the North American Major League Soccer, as the FCM announced on Monday evening. Halbouni came to Magdeburg from Werder Bremen II in the summer of 2022. After a serious knee injury, he never played in a competitive game for the professional team. He was used eight times for the second team.
