The 2022 work calendar in Alicante reaches the summer season with the most intense festive bridge of the year, with the celebration of the Bonfires of San Juan, which this year is also extended with the weekend just after to offer four days.

Thus, the local festival on June 23 and the regional one on June 24, in the latter case, a paid and non-recoverable festive day, as established by the Generalitat Valenciana.

Coinciding with Thursday and Friday, these dates are especially propitious for the world of the fire festival, which has been waiting two years since the start of the coronavirus pandemic to be able to take to the streets again.

This is how this long weekend of culmination of these celebrations is presented, after the Cremà on the night of the 23rd, already during the hangover of les Fogueres, on the following evening the other bonfires are lit, on the beaches of the entire coast of the Mediterranean on the night of San Juan, with the arrival of the summer solstice.

Next, the work calendar does not offer more holidays until August 15, throughout the entire summer period, and the next one will arrive in autumn, on October 12 (national holiday of Hispanic Heritage Day), while this year the 9 d’Octubre (Day of the Valencian Community), falls on a Sunday.

The rest of the year is completed with the feast days of Tuesday, November 1 (All Saints), Tuesday, December 6 (Constitution) and Thursday, December 8 (Immaculate Conception).
