Shortly before the start of the second half of the second Bundesliga season, Eintracht Braunschweig doubled their squad again. Attacker Tarsis Bonga comes from the first division club VfL Bochum to the Lower Saxony and receives a contract until the end of the season. In addition, defender Hasan Kurucay will wear the Eintracht jersey until June 30, 2024. Until the end of the year, Kurucay was under contract with the Norwegian first division club Hamarkameratene.
“With him we have been able to sign a physically very robust striker. He has good individual technique and fits in very well with our switching game,” said sporting director Peter Vollmann about the signing of the 26-year-old Bongas.
The 25-year-old Kurucay should stabilize the defensive of Braunschweig. “Hasan has the qualities that we were still looking for for the position of central defender. He’s good in tackles and headers and is also very athletic,” said Vollmann about the defensive player with Danish-Turkish citizenship. Eintracht will start the second half of the season on Sunday at Hamburger SV, the favorites for promotion.
