Attacking player Jordan Larsson is moving from FC Schalke 04 to FC Copenhagen. As the Bundesliga soccer club announced on Saturday evening, the son of the former exceptional Swedish soccer player Henrik Larsson will initially be loaned to the Danish club until the end of the season. After that, Copenhagen has a purchase option.
The 25-year-old Larsson only moved to Gelsenkirchen in the summer, but did not convince there. He appeared in eleven Bundesliga games at the bottom of the table, started five times and didn’t score a goal. Larsson still has a contract with Schalke until 2025.
“Together with him we agreed that a loan is the best possible option for both sides,” said sporting director Peter Knäbel, according to the club’s announcement.
