Every second person in Germany still has it to do: the property tax return. And that, although time is now pressing. The deadline is Tuesday, January 31st. Then all owners must have submitted their tax returns.
Around 36 million properties in Germany are to be revalued. It is unlikely that all the necessary declarations will actually be received by the end of January. Nevertheless, taxpayers should hurry. Because they have to make the declaration one way or the other, there is no exception. Anyone who delivers them excessively late or does not deliver them at all must expect sanctions and financial disadvantages.
