The sad news of the death of former world-class pole vaulter Tim Lobinger broke on Thursday. He was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2017. In the spring of 2018 he gave the star a long interview in which he talked about his illness, the tormenting chemotherapy and sport as a source of strength.
