Christina Wassen delivered a strong performance at the German Championships in water jumping in Rostock. The Berliner prevailed in the high diving on Friday ahead of her sister Elena Wassen and club colleague Pauline Pfeif. The bronze medalist at the European Championships scored a good 357.40 points and was able to improve in every round from the prelims to the semi-finals and the final. She always surpassed the number of points required for World Cup qualification.

“That was outstanding,” said acting national coach Christoph Bohm. Elena Wassen scored 328.25 points, Pauline Pfeif 299.30 points. They also exceeded the World Cup norm. “High diving is a super strong discipline for us. I’m pleased that all three were able to deal with the pressure in three partial competitions from the tower and presented themselves with strong nerves. I’m very satisfied,” commented Bohm.

Before that, Moritz Wesemann (Halle) also won the competition from the 3-meter diving board with 458.80 points after his victory from the 1-meter diving board on Thursday, thus completing the double in springboard diving.
