British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak (42) got into trouble with the police again. A Tiktok video showed that the prime minister’s dog was not on a leash in London’s Hyde Park – despite signs requiring it.

Sunak’s family was “reminded of the rules” by an officer, the Metropolitan Police said afterwards. “The dog was put back on the leash.” The prime minister did not receive a penalty, British media reported.

Dogs must be leashed in Hyde Park around the Serpentine lake so as not to disturb ducks and other animals. Sunak’s spokesman declined to comment on the incident. It was unclear when the video was taken. As of June 2021, Sunak’s family has a Labrador named Nova.

It’s not the first time Sunak has had trouble with the police. A few weeks ago, he had to pay a fine for sitting in the back seat of his limousine without a seat belt, according to a video shared by Sunak himself.

In the “Partygate” affair about illegal lockdown celebrations in Downing Street, Sunak – then still Minister of Finance – had to pay a fine for breaking the Corona rules.
