Right in the heart of New York is the Port Authority Bus Terminal, the city’s largest bus terminal. In the entrance hall there is a lot of activity during the day. People push their clattering suitcases across the tiled floor, a display board announces the next departures, radio music blares from the kiosk on the corner.
It’s quieter in the back of the hall. A huge USA flag hangs from the ceiling. Most disappear here on the escalator down towards the gates. Or wait with their luggage to be picked up.
Gustavo is also waiting. For over four months.
