Juliane Eichblatt and Kai Schatzel are farmers. Winegrowers and agricultural entrepreneurs. Together they run the Kommune3000 winery. Eichblatt comes from an agricultural household; her father was a farmer. She later founded the online farmers’ market “Ffrischepost”, where you could order groceries directly from the field with the click of a mouse. Eichblatt and her partner, the winemaker Kai Schatzel, want to practice sustainable and regenerative agriculture. They have only limited understanding of the current farmers’ protests. A conversation about a broken system, dependencies and the future of small, farming structures.
