With three parts per thousand alcohol on her breath, a 38-year-old got behind the wheel in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. Because she was driving in a wavy line, the woman was checked by the police – and was then not allowed to continue. During the check, a clear smell of alcohol could be detected in her breath, the police said. A breath alcohol test showed a value of three per thousand. A blood sample was taken from the woman and her driver’s license confiscated.

According to witnesses, the driver also endangered other road users early Thursday evening. For example, when overtaking a cyclist, she clearly got into the opposite lane. This forced an oncoming car to slow down. Witnesses to this incident and other road users who were endangered by the serpentine tour are asked to report to the police in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler.
