Deep Markus ensures changeable April weather and low temperatures throughout Germany. On Sunday it will remain mostly cloudy and overcast in the south and east, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Saturday in Offenbach. There are also frequent rain showers. In the Alps there can even be a few centimeters of fresh snow during the course of the day.

In the north and west, however, the sun appears more often, it is partly cloudy and dry. During the day, temperatures are usually in the single digits, with a maximum of 5 to 12 degrees.

“Deep Markus is gradually moving south. High air pressure is slowly coming from the north-west, only in the south and south-east it remains changeable. The temperatures remain rather fresh and frosty at night,” said a DWD meteorologist.

From Monday, however, there will be widespread friendly high-pressure weather. In large parts of Germany, the week started sunny and dry. Only south of the Danube and in the east are denser clouds expected at first, and isolated snow showers are expected on the Alps and on the border with Poland. The maximum values reach 3 to 9, in the west and south-west up to 12 degrees. On Tuesday it will remain cloudy in the east, otherwise mostly cloudy and dry.
