A lot has built up at Jackie Miller, which is now breaking through – you can clearly see that. The school bus driver from the US state of Ohio takes on the children on her bus and doesn’t mince her words: “I’ve had enough,” she keeps shouting, garnished with all sorts of expletives. “Damn it, how much do you think I can take?” The older lady is obviously fed up with being fooled by the students. “I’m about to get off that damn bus right now and let you guys walk home,” she threatens.

A student filmed the incident with her cell phone and published it on TikTok, the video has been viewed more than four million times. In the specific case, it was apparently about the fact that a student should have sprayed perfume. This is said to have triggered an asthma attack in Miller, as she told local broadcaster WKYC. Apparently that was just the straw that broke the camel’s back.

“I apologize for what I did that day,” said Jackie Miller. “But I won’t take it back.” She and many other bus drivers are treated “disrespectfully” by the children every day. For 15 years she drove students to and from school. After her freak went viral online, Miller resigned — likely pre-empting her own resignation.

She has lost her job, but there is a lot of support online for the bus driver, who has lost her nerve. Even if not everyone likes their behavior and their choice of words, many users in the social networks express their understanding. This goes so far that an online fundraising campaign for the former bus driver has even been launched. According to the description, bus drivers and other people who work in educational institutions are “underpaid” and not valued enough.

A lot of people seem to think so. More than $100,000 has now been raised. After years of being “terribly treated” by children, the money is intended to help Miller retire and take vacations, writes the campaign organizer.
