Because of a warning strike at the air security checkpoint, no passenger planes will take off from Stuttgart Airport on Friday. Flights to Stuttgart, on the other hand, are possible, the airport said. According to the airport’s website, some incoming flights were also canceled, for example from Hamburg or Belgrade.

The airport of the state capital asked those affected to find out from the airline about the status of the respective flight and not to come to the airport.

Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport (Baden-Airpark) says it expects longer waiting times. The airport reported on its website that there could also be short-term flight cancellations. Some planes took off in the morning, including to Milan/Bergamo.

In the ongoing collective bargaining dispute, the Verdi union in the south-west had called on employees of the aviation security services to stop working. This includes, for example, the employees of the passenger control. In Stuttgart, the labor dispute should last one day, in Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden two.
