The so-called speed camera marathon started as planned in the morning, said the police headquarters in Mainz and Trier. According to the Ministry of the Interior, increased controls were planned throughout Rhineland-Palatinate. According to the information, the individual police headquarters are responsible for the respective actions.

The police in Trier were planning several checkpoints, including mobile checks by police cars equipped with speedometers, as was announced in advance. Laser controls were also planned. The police headquarters in Koblenz also wanted to increase traffic control. The West Palatinate police headquarters in Kaiserslautern also wanted to take part in the day of action. As in the area of ​​the Mainz police headquarters, no special operations were planned in the western Palatinate.
