Firefighters in Detmold (Lippe district) rescued a weakened raccoon from an awkward situation. The animal had climbed onto a windowsill of the music college on Sunday afternoon, according to the fire brigade. Apparently, the little bear couldn’t get back from a height of about four meters, so passers-by alerted the emergency services.

First, firefighters tried several times in vain to grab the raccoon – but he always escaped and climbed further around the building. Finally, a man managed to grab the animal from a ladder. The raccoon, however, did not appreciate his rescue, struggling vigorously and escaping on the descent just before reaching the bottom.
