The campsites in Schleswig-Holstein are preparing for a heavy rush in the coming weeks and months. Anyone who wants to book for the long weekends in May or for the summer holidays should do so soon, said the state chairman of the camping industry, Gert Petzold, of the German Press Agency. The popularity is consistently high. According to Petzold, there are 290 campsites with 60,000 parking spaces in Schleswig-Holstein, including those for permanent guests.
