A motorcyclist fell under the car in a collision with a car in Breckerfeld (Ennepe-Ruhr district) and was seriously injured. Rescue workers lifted the car late Monday afternoon with a lifting bag to gently rescue the motorcyclist, the fire department said.
The biker had previously encountered oncoming traffic with his motorcycle in a curve and collided with the oncoming car for reasons that were not yet clear. He was taken to the hospital by rescue helicopter.
The driver and his passenger suffered a shock and were cared for by an emergency chaplain.
