A masked man attacked a gas station in Pforzheim and then fled. The perpetrator drove onto the site with a wheel loader on Saturday evening, a spokesman said on Sunday. He then entered the gas station and demanded cash with a pistol-like object, according to a statement.
According to the spokesman, the man stole several hundred euros in cash. He then fled on foot, leaving the wheel loader behind. The police assume that the perpetrator had previously stolen the vehicle. The initiated manhunt, in which a police helicopter was also used, was unsuccessful. The police are now looking for witnesses.
