On June 24, 2022, the US Supreme Court reversed the landmark “Roe v. Wade” ruling, which enshrined a nationwide right to abortion in 1973, in a highly controversial decision.
Opponents of abortion and advocates of access to abortion held rallies in the US capital Washington on Saturday to mark the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision. At a small demonstration, protesters wore T-shirts with inscriptions such as “Unborn Lives Matter” (“The life of the unborn matters”).

Trump had criticized the law in Florida as “too tough”.
