In Bremen, a three-party coalition of the SPD, the Greens and the Left Party has governed under Mayor Andreas Bovenschulte (SPD) since 2019. If the party conference of the Left Party also agrees to the coalition agreement on Sunday, Bovenschulte will stand for re-election as President of the Bremen Senate on Wednesday. The Greens and the Left each have two senators.
