According to the police, the damage caused is in the six-figure range. Unknown people in the small Saxon town of Kamenz (Bautzen district) almost gutted three empty apartment buildings over several months. The investigators announced this on Wednesday.

Accordingly, the thieves removed inventory such as power lines, pipes, radiators and fittings from the buildings in the east of the city – in other words: everything that can be turned into money. The police were only informed about the crime on Tuesday. There is no trace of the perpetrators. The police have started the investigation and secured evidence in the houses.
