The Dax’s hunt for records on the German stock market continued before the weekend. The leading index climbed to a high of 17,198 points. US producer prices that rose more sharply than expected temporarily took away the momentum in the afternoon. At the end of trading there was an increase of 0.42 percent to 17,117.44 points. On a weekly basis, the Dax gained 1.1 percent. The MDax of medium-sized stocks rose by 0.35 percent to 26,148.08 points.
