The legal drama “Anatomy of a Case” triumphed at the French César Film Awards. The film by French director Justine Triet took home a total of six awards, including best director.
German actress Sandra Hülser won the best actress award for her performance in the film about a German writer suspected of murdering her husband. She felt very honored, especially as a German, said Hülser in Paris.
The honorary César received the multiple award-winning British-American director Christopher Nolan. Nolan attended the ceremony with his wife Emma Thomas.
The César, named after the sculptor César Baldaccini, is the French version of the Oscar film awards. It has been awarded since 1976.
