The fire brigade in Munich spent around two hours freeing a four-year-old’s finger that was stuck in the holder of a wall bar. The girl got her finger stuck in a square pipe in a kindergarten on Tuesday, the fire department announced on Wednesday. Neither the child nor the parents managed to free the finger.

The firefighters reportedly unscrewed the metal part from the wall bars and used hydraulic tools that are actually used to cut people out of their cars after an accident. This should push the pipe apart. However, according to the fire department, the pipe was “completely unaffected”. The emergency services worked their way forward in small steps and managed to open the pipe towards the finger. As a distraction, the girl was allowed to watch the film “Frozen” while she worked. After the mission was over, it was handed over to its father undamaged.
