The German Davis Cup player Dominik Koepfer was eliminated in the first round of the ATP tournament in Munich.

The number seven seeded tennis professional from Furtwangen lost against the Chilean Cristian Garin 6:7 (3:7), 3:6. The 29-year-old from the Black Forest suffered his third first-round defeat in his third clay court tournament this year. After 1:37 hours, Garin, who won the BMW Open in Munich in 2019, converted his fourth match point.

Rudi Molleker (Oranienburg) had already won his first round match as a wildcard on Monday at the event, which was endowed with 651,865 euros.
