Burgenland district: Man dies in fire in apartment building

A man died in a fire in an apartment building in Naumburg (Burgenland district). Rescue workers were called on Tuesday night because someone noticed smoke from a ground floor apartment in Bad Kösen, the police said on Tuesday. There was a man in the apartment who died on the spot despite resuscitation. Other residents of the home were not injured in the fire. The police assume that the deceased man is the tenant of the apartment. The cause of the fire is now being determined.
