Hanns-Christian Gunga is a senior professor at the Institute for Physiology at the Charité in Berlin, where he heads the Center for Space Medicine and Extreme Environments. His current book “Deadly Heat: What extreme temperatures do to the body and how we can protect ourselves” was recently published.
