Just a month after the diagnosis you were back on the pitch with Chelsea FC and now you are playing the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand with the German national team. Do you sometimes marvel at your path? No, because I know how much I have done to come back. Back then, I tried to see cancer as a game that I absolutely had to win. Sport was my scaffolding that I clung to. And it lasted.
