The stillbirth rate in Germany is increasing and is above the European average. Vaccination opponents and AfD politicians blame corona vaccinations. Maxi Kniffka from the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research knelt into the data sets and checked possible reasons with a team – such as the age of the women or their citizenship. The scientist comes to the conclusion: The high rate is very probably not due to the corona vaccination. The average age of mothers in Germany is not the reason either. On the contrary: This even means that there are fewer stillbirths. In the stern interview, the researcher reveals what could be the reason for the higher rate.
