Investors in the German stock market remained cautious ahead of the weekend. Concerns about the economy continue to shape the picture. With the Dax, the lid seems to be on at 16,000 points for the time being. On Friday, the leading German index fell by half a percent to 15,913.64 points by midday.

The MDax of medium-sized listed companies fell by 0.25 percent to 28,263.15 points and the Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 lost more than half a percent.
