Brazilian soccer star Neymar is reportedly set to join Saudi club Al-Hilal from Paris Saint-Germain.
Paris and Al-Hilal have reached an agreement, the last details are now to be settled, wrote the French sports magazine “L’Équipe”. According to Saudi media, Neymar and PSG agreed to all the terms of the offer presented by Al-Hilal. Accordingly, Neymar should receive a contract from the Saudi club for two seasons.
According to the broadcaster RMC, PSG should receive a fee of 90 million euros for the 31-year-old offensive player. Accordingly, the option of a third year of contract with Al-Hilal is still being considered. After a medical examination, Neymar should sign the contract. Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in 2017. The transfer fee at the time was a record 222 million euros.
Spanish media reported that after hours of negotiations, Neymar tried until the end to be loaned to FC Barcelona by Al-Hilal for the next season. The Catalan club, with which the Brazilian was under contract for four years, tried for months behind the scenes for such a regulation, which the Saudis ultimately rejected, wrote the newspaper “Sport”.
