A fire in an agricultural building in Swabia caused damage of around 1.5 million euros. A farmer observed smoke on the building in Altusried (Oberallgäu district) on Friday evening, alerted the fire brigade and drove out the cattle housed in it. According to the police, the emergency services prevented the flames from spreading to an adjacent residential building, but the agricultural building burned out completely.
Three calves died and two firefighters suffered blast trauma. The cause of the fire is not yet clear and is the subject of the investigation.
